The embroidery
Repeating patterns are unforgiving — the eye picks up any drift in spacing immediately, so this one takes longer to work than a single centred motif. The three-colour palette is restrained on purpose: enough variation to give the rows life without turning the cover into a sampler.
Living with it
The most neutral of the embroidered covers and the easiest to buy in a pair. It sits happily on oatmeal, natural or pale grey upholstery and next to oak, rattan and dried grasses. Works in a room that already has pattern, because it does not compete.
Care
Dry clean only. Do not machine wash — linen shrinks and silk embroidery puckers. Press from the reverse on a low setting, never directly over the stitching.
